Description
As a result of Essence_Of_Rapture 's recent adoptable set, I've become the owner of this beautiful turian who's name is now Estrica Getha (AKA Ester). The will be a significant character for an actual story arc within the Mass Effect AU, that I've created. I had an idea for it, but when I saw this turian's design, I knew that she would be a perfect fit for the character due to her glowing face paint and almost cyberpunk look.
As such, I will now elaborate on her character here, so there will be major spoilers for the upcoming stories below. I will mark them as "mild" to "seriously, this is a huge spoiler please dont read if you wanna be surprised. If you wanna talk about the spoiler stuff, please send it in a note for the sake of unwary lookers. That being said, here we go.
Personality:
-Pragmatic and cautious
-Passionate about her work, shows pride in little else.
-She isn't too fond of eating people.

*Mild Spoiler*____
Ester became known around the galaxy for her musical talent. However, she's a rather controversial artist in the community. She often attempts to try to hinder herself in gaining fame by refusing recording contracts and only performing at small venues such as bars, coffee shops, and the occasional music festival.
Her uniqueness in the industry can be attribute to her ability to perform musical techniques in vocals that were previously thought as impossible. She can self harmonize, sing more than two tones at once, and carry notes past the average turian lung capacity. She is also perfectly in tune and can achieve vocalizing the entire range on the musical scale. Consequentially, she is occasionally accused of fakery in some way, such as lip syncing, or a voice modifier in her vocal cords. However, she is easily able to refute these accusations as soon as they come.
She eventually meets Leifkin at the citadel cafe, where they decide to go on a date and eventually become a couple.

The truth behind Ester is that she is actually a complex AI created by the Geth to assist in their understanding of organic behavior. Ester is meant only to learn as she is inducted into their lifestyle so that the Geth may more easily communicate with the quarians and other races to expand peacefully into the galaxy. She is to then upload her findings to the Geth consensus and return to her people.
Her body is made of organic tissue combined with the necessary cybernetics to maintain life. This means that her body reacts normally to outside stimuli for appearances sake, such as bleeding if blood is drawn by a doctor. This also means that she can eat food, however, it is absorbed minimally and passed. So, she's wary about eating any sentient person due to the possibility of them discovering her true inner workings. Her body has stealth capabilities for her machinery also, preventing them from being revealed in a routine scan at the Citadel, passing them off as cybernetic augmentations.
However, as she slowly learns about what it means to be truly alive, she begins to find passions in her career that was originally started purely for a discreet source of income. She tries not to become mainstream due to the unwanted attention possibly detracting her ability to absorb the normal society, but also that her secret might become revealed.
Her singing abilities are also due to her artificial makeup. She can produce any sound possible so long as she doesn't overload her sound system.
She eventually confesses everything to Leifkin and they work together to represent the Geth and all AI in their rights.

Her name was originally going to be Xera Wan, a joke on the binary system to faintly hint at her secret. Xera= zero Wan= one.
Her new name was inspired by Albert Camus' novel, "L'etranger" A.K.A. The Stanger. In french, the word "L'etranger" actually translates better as foreigner rather than stranger, it seemed fitting to have her bear a name similar to the word. Gethra is less imaginative as you can see.
The reason the Geth chose the turian body is that turians are the most common race on the Citadel. Additionally, their stronger form would better hide Estrica's metallic body, since turians are made of metal anyways. A salarian with a tough outer shell rather than a soft, smooth one would raise some eyebrows.
Her face paint was originally a simple blue, but she changed it to the glowing color you see to better fit the techno environment that her art is now centered in.
